"Enter into children's play and you will find the place where the minds, hearts & souls meet.."

Virginia Axline

Jordan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist who specializes in working with children and adolescents. She utilizes child-centered play therapy when working with children, which is a developmentally appropriate approach that meets the child where they are in their journey in order to foster positive change towards healing. By utilizing children’s natural language of play as well as nurturing an understanding and empathetic therapeutic relationship, children are able to process their experiences and emotions in the non-judgmental space of therapy.  She views therapy through a systemic lens, often involving the family system in therapy.

When working with teenagers & adults, Jordan utilizes a person-centered approach. She works to create a non-judgmental space to promote self-acceptance, growth & change.  She believes the client is the expert of their own life so through a collaborative strengths-based approach she facilitates growth by building off the strengths and resources they already possess.

Jordan enjoys working with children and adolescents with a variety of challenges including anxiety and stress management, self-esteem/identity development  social anxiety, emotional regulation, highly sensitive children, adolescents & young adults navigating life transitions, managing boundaries, grief and loss, depression, executive functioning/ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ clients.  She is a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.

Her previous experience includes working in an outpatient CORE agency as well as an inpatient behavioral health hospital.  Jordan spends part of the summers working as a mental health professional at a sleep away camp, Camp Coleman in North Georgia. Here she supports the mental health needs of campers and staff as part of the camper care team.
