Play/Expressive Arts Therapist
Full-time position

Credential Required:
Associate Professional Counselor (APC) 
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Master Family Therapist (MFT)
Licensed Master Family Therapist (LMFT)
Aspiring Play Therapist


Additional Credentials Accepted:
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Registered Play Therapist (RPT)

Full-time Hours
Availability to grow a case load to at least 4 days a week providing at least 16 sessions spots available in after school hours

Responsibilities
  • Identify issues that may be contributing to a child's difficulty (ie., trauma, anxiety, ADHD, shyness, transition difficulty, divorce, blended families, etc) .
  • Provide informed Play Therapy sessions
  • Provide caregiver/parent support and routine parent sessions 
  • Have informed knowledge & experience with using play & expressive arts materials in session
  • Create and maintain diligent, timely and formative treatment plans, notes and documentation
  • Clearly Identify appropriate goals & interventions congruent to the child's needs in therapy 
  • Participate in necessary supervision, continuing education, staff meetings and case consultation meetings
  • Maintain ongoing professional development to stay up to date with lates therapeutic research & techniques
Qualifications
  • Interest & experience in working with children ages 3-12
  • Holding an active & in good standing license
  • 1 year in a Private Practice setting preferred
  • Additional experience preferred in a clinical setting including but not limited to schools, clinics, hospitals, foster/adoption care, mental health care facility, etc
  • Hold a confident competency in parent support & family systems
  • Hold a confident competency in employing art/play therapy interventions congruent with client's presenting issue
  • Pursuing RPT preferred
  • Experience in formulating & maintaining clear, concise and formative treatment plans with goals & objectives 
  • Experience in maintaining clear, concise and timely session notes
