Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist who enjoys working with children and their parents, teens, and young adults. Jessica believes creativity is an essential part of growth and thus an important part of the therapy process. She believes using art in session provides a client with an additional method to communicate and externalize difficult emotions. In session, she primarily utilizes both a Client-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach while incorporating art therapy interventions.
Jessica has worked in a variety of clinical settings including providing school based and in-home therapy to children and families. Jessica has 8+ years of clinical experience providing therapy to all ages and has worked with children and families in various roles for most of her life. Jessica feels it is both a joy and a privilege each time she develops a trusting relationship with a client and can provide a safe space for change to occur. Her experiences include helping clients navigate their anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, difficult life transitions, autism, anger, and self-worth. Jessica has additional training in Positive Discipline parenting education, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and crisis intervention training.
